What’s important to you is important to me. And as your representative to the state house, I’m committed to standing up and speaking up for you.
Together, we have accomplished much, but there is still work to be done. I’ve been proud to sponsor a bill that requires the state Department of Education to provide dyslexia training to all literacy coaches and literacy teachers in kindergarten through grade 3, and I co-sponsored legislation addressing educational inequity in poor school districts. Along with other members of the county’s delegation, we brought forward legislation designed to protect Pickens County from coal ash being placed in landfills such as one proposed for a site near Liberty. And working with my senate and house colleagues, I was proud support legislation in 2017 that began funding long-overdue repairs to our state’s dangerous roads and bridges.
I’m proud to champion the conservative values, quality of life, and economic investments that make Pickens County a great place to work, live, and raise a family!
